It is thought to have been built in the 18th or 19th century according to its construction technique and architectural features. It flows through a natural channel opened in a volcanic rock floor on the Bendi Mahi Stream. This channel narrows and deepens where the bridge is built. The transportation between the surrounding villages and Muradiye is provided over this bridge, and the structure is called the Devil’s Bridge since it is a dangerous crossing.
