Wildlife – birds. The Common Whitethroat (Sylvia communis) bird lives and breeds in bushes, hedge farms and the edges of woodlands. It is a summer visitor in all of Europe, except northern Scandinavia, in western and central Asia. It spends the winter in the south of the Sahara Desert. Although they are an insectivorous animal, they also feed on nut and soft fruits.
