Great Levent Canyon And Viewing Terrace

There are extremely interesting geological formations, cliffs and caves in the 28-kilometer-long Levent Valley, which is shown as one of the interesting natural areas in the world with its geological features and also contains ruins from the neolithic age. In addition to its historical and different geological structure, the valley with steep cliffs can be watched from a bird’s eye view from the observation terrace, which is made of steel on a steep rock block and has a glass floor. The observation terrace, located at an altitude of 1,400 and 240 meters above the valley floor, has attracted great interest since it was built in 2012. Some caves and rock blocks around the viewing terrace are illuminated by a solar system. Levent Valley, located in Malatya’s Akçadağ district and likened to the Grand Canyon in the USA, draws attention with its 104-meter-high viewing terrace, part of which is glass. Located on the Malatya-Kayseri highway, the 28-kilometer-long valley is a natural wonder that dates back to 65 million years and was formed as a result of geological deformations.
