The Muslim Congregation Praying in the Historical Nasrullah Mosque, Nasrullah Mosque is a religious structure built in Kastamonu by Kadı Nasrullah in 1506.

Nasrullah Mosque, one of the first monumental works built by the Ottoman Empire in Kastamonu, is one of the most important symbols of Kastamonu. The mosque located in the city center; It is a complex with its square, fountain, bridge and madrasah added later. II. The mosque, which was built by Nasrullah Kadı in 1506 during the Bayezid period, together with the water pools in the bridge and the fountain, is Kastamonu’s largest mosque from the Ottoman period. The mosque, which had a 6-domed structure until it was expanded in 1746, became a 9-domed building with this work. The calligraphy and decorations inside the mosque were brought to the body by the famous calligrapher Ahmet Şevki Efendi from Kastamonu. Our national poet Mehmet Akif Ersoy, who traveled around Anatolia during the years of the National Struggle and gathered support for the Turkish War of Independence, also gave sermons in the Nasrullah Mosque and sang our national anthem, the Turkish National Anthem, for the first time before its acceptance in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey.
