This panel currently works on After Effects 2015.3 and later. The panel may not function in earlier versions. Works for PC or Mac.

Select one layer containing your puppet pins. Choose your anchor type, null layer color, the name of your prefix or suffix and generate null points. The script will create null points and parent the pins to each layer.

Under advanced options, you can just generate null layers without parenting the pins to the nulls.
