The Russian Orthodox Church ROC; Russian: alternatively legally known as the Moscow Patriarchate , also known in English as the Orthodox Christian Church of Russia, is one of the autocephalous Eastern Orthodox churches, in full communion with its sister church, the Greek Orthodox Church, and with the other, smaller Eastern Orthodox churches. The ROC officially ranks fifth in the Orthodox order of precedence, right under the four ancient Greek Patriarchates of the Greek Orthodox Church, those of Constantinople, Alexandria, Antioch, and Jerusalem.The Primate of the ROC is the Patriarch of Moscow and all Rus’.
