The Gorges du Verdon are located in the Verdon Regional Natural Park and mark a natural border between the French departments of Var and Alpes-de-Haute-Provence. They form a canyon from 250 to 700 meters deep. The Gorges du Verdon have the reputation of being the most beautiful canyon in Europe and are very popular with tourists in summer.
