Tiznit, located in the southern part of Morocco, is the capital of the Tiznit province in the Souss-Massa region. The city, with a population of approximately 80,000 inhabitants (as of 2014), retains its authentic Berber character and widely speaks Tamazight. Tiznit lies just 15 km from the Atlantic Ocean, 81 km south of Agadir, 203 km south of Essaouira, 271 km southwest of Marrakech, and 553 km south of Rabat. Historically, Tiznit played a significant role as the starting point for the famous Almoravid dynasty, which later ruled Morocco. The dynasty emerged from the Madrasa El Ouaggaguia in Aglou, a coastal village located 14 km from Tiznit
