Word Slides by Fizzrock Studio is an Adobe After Effects template that creates a 4K image slideshow, using 1200 animated words as a transition. All words automatically take their colors from the incoming image. Use up to 40 unique words. Using a modular structure, any number of images can be used in the slideshow. This project is ideal for still-image slideshows of any kind.A calligram is defined as: a word or piece of text in which the design and layout of the letters creates a visual image related to the meaning of the words themselves.
Two project versions are included: Basic and Advanced. The Basic version includes dozens of customization features, and will produce results like those seen in the preview video. The Advanced version allows users to adjust additional features such as shot length and word animation timing.

- Modular structure: any number of rendered shots can be combined into a final edit. (Render and save individual shots, then combine the rendered video files into a final edit.)
- The template displays 1200 individual words that animate in 3D space from behind the camera, to the “floor”, then back towards the camera. As the words approach the floor, a new image is revealed that replaces a previous image.
- All animated words automatically take their colors from the new media image displayed in the transition.
- Up to 40 unique words or phrases can be used in the 1200 animated words.
- Change the font of all 1200 words using one simple text layer.
- Enable an optional light source to create shadows cast by the words, which appear on words and on the media layers below.
- This project uses random numbers as a primary method of selecting individual words, positioning individual words, and for the timing of the individual word animations. By adjusting various random seed values, a new series of random numbers can be chosen, thus shuffling the effects of the random numbers on the words. Every shot is unique.
- A separate set of controls are provided for the word displayed in the center of the frame.
- A separate “Opening Shot” is provided that starts by displaying an opening image as the camera slowly zooms-out; after a few seconds, words animate into the shot as the 2nd image is revealed.
- A separate “Final Shot” is provided that displays the final media image for a longer period of time as the camera zooms-out.
- An “Edit” project file is provided to combine individually rendered video files of the shot comps into the final edit.
