Yanovichi Lake is located northeast of Vitebsk in the Vitebsk region in the basin of the Vymnyanka River, about 6 km from the Vitebsk-Surazh highway. 6 streams flow into the Yanovichi lake and a stream flows into the Vymnyanka river, through which the lake is connected to the Vymno lake. The terrain is mostly flat, in places ridged and hilly, almost treeless, in some places swampy.
