Yusufeli Dam and Hydroelectric Power Plant Project was built by the Ministry of Forestry and Water Affairs, General Directorate of State Hydraulic Works and its foundation was laid on February 26, 2013.

Yusufeli Dam; It will be built on the Çoruh River, 70 kilometers southwest of Artvin in the Black Sea Region, and will produce an average of 1.8 billion kWh of energy per year with an installed power of 540 MW when completed.

When the facility is put into operation; It will be the world’s third tallest dam in the double curvature concrete arch category and the world’s seventh tallest in the overall category.
